The Ford Store San Leandro has announced that they will be teaming up with Ford Motor Company to present “Go Further with Ford Night” on Thursday, Nov. 15. This free fundraising event will benefit the Davis Street Family Resource Center, for each person who attends Go Further with Ford Night, Ford Motor Company will donate $10 and The Ford Store San Leandro will also donate $10, for a total of $20 per person just for showing up!

“We all want to be part of something bigger, and Go Further with Ford Night is our way of offering consumers the chance to give back to our community, have a lot of fun, eat some great food, participate activities, and meet the all-new Ford Fusion in person,” said Phil Baltazar, General Sales Manager, The Ford Store San Leandro.

Attendees will enjoy a spirited night of hosted food from local vendors, the kickoff to a coinciding toy drive for the same charity, and of course the chance to check out the all new 2013 Ford Fusion.

On several occasions, I have seen 5-6 chickens pecking their way down their steep driveway on theRead More east side of Saint Mary's Road, very close to the Cattle Chute. I had not read this story earlier. On 6/3 or 6/4, I saw a black hen, alone, out in the road right at the point of the Moraga Commons. It was pecking the pavement on Moraga Road, as cars turning north from Saint Mary's Road were avoiding it. I hope the chicken crossed the road to the trail on the other side. Better yet, I hope it turned around and followed that trail right back to the Cattle Chute and home.
