Anxiety in School
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health issue among children and adolescents. For those with learning disabilities, the rate is even higher. Psychologist and author Dr. Michael Tompkins will speak about the nature of anxiety, the different types of disorders, and how to distinguish them from normal anxiety. He will also discuss why clinicians, parents, and teachers often misdiagnose or fail to identify these disorders in the first place.
