Diablo Ballet and The Lafayette Library join together once again to bring back the popular, summer Dance on Film series!
The second film in our series is the 1952 MGM American musical comedy Singin' in the Rain,
starring Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds, and
choreographed by Gene Kelly. It offers a lighthearted depiction of
Hollywood, with the three stars portraying performers caught up in the
transition from silent films to "talkies." Join us to watch the film
that is frequently described as one of the best musicals ever made!
Before
the screening, Lauren Jonas, Diablo Ballet's Artistic Director, and
film critic Beau Behan will share fascinating facts about the making of
the film. Also, everyone is invited to enter a free drawing to win
tickets to attend a future Diablo Ballet performance!
