Book Talking

The Moraga Movers present Book Talking on the second Wednesday of the month.  November features Moraga Branch Library Manager, Diane McDonnell, reviewing and discussing Shooting Victoria: Madness, Mayhem, and the Rebirth of the British Monarchy.  Who knew that during her long reign Queen Victoria had no less than eight assassination attempts made on her life!  Author Paul Thomas Murphy follows the would-be assassins, the repercussions of their actions, and how the attacks evolved over time in light of changing technology and social issues.  The book was a New York Times Notable Book for 2012

As always, you need not have read the book to enjoy the discussion of this award-winning and fascinating book.

There will be no Book Talking in December; discussion will resume again in 2014.
