What's the +1 Button All About?
Sharp-eyed readers spotted the new Google +1 button on our stories within minutes. Here's what clicking that button will do.
Avid Patch readers may notice a new "+1" button on our stories these days.
This is Google's version of the Facebook "Like" button - which we know you all use from time to time - and it gives readers a way to give our Web content their "stamp of approval."
Clicking the "+1" button helps improve Google search results by surfacing content that readers have found interesting. This is a fairly new feature for Google and certainly for us but we thought you might want to take it out for a spin.
