Regular readers will know that Patch likes to get out in the community -- and also that your beloved editor counts a morning latte as one of his two vices.
We've convened a number of Patch Coffee Meetings in the relatively short time we've been up and running, holding them at , , Orinda and Moraga , and elsewhere. The basic premise behind the meetings is to, perhaps, put a face to the screen name (Chris, Amanda, James, Mike, and Kathleen are even better looking in person, it turned out) and to spread some of our considerable funds around town.
Discussions have ranged on what we're doing right and what we're doing wrong, suggestions for future stories, what we're all reading, and discourse on the best area restaurants. It's pretty much a chance to step out from behind the screen name and meet other readers and help determine Patch's future course.

Our next one will be a weekday, which I know makes it impossible for some people to attend, but we'll schedule a weekend meeting to accommodate them in future.
