Lamorinda Weather: Hot, Followed by More of the Same - Then Possible Weekend Rain?

It's going to be hot for the next couple of days and a Spare the Air alert has been issued. Rain in the forecast.

All you warm weather folks who have called to ask where our summer has been will get your wish for the next couple of days, at least.

Temperatures are going to climb in Lamorinda, spiking on Tuesday and Wednesday, and giving us the first real taste of blazing summer heat since the Fourth of July. It has been an unusually mild summer locally as you know.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District issued its first smog alert of the summer as a high pressure system keeps winds down and the air stagnant. Lamorindans are being asked to drive less and reduce their energy use as temperatures are expected to climb into the mid to high-90s.
