Lamorinda Councils Meet in Feb. 10 Special Conference

Sustainability, road repairs and downtown revitalization are on the agenda.

In what is a mostly annual event in the first quarter of the calendar, the Moraga Town Council and the Lafayette and Orinda city councils have scheduled a special joint meeting for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Soda Center on the St. Mary’s College campus, Moraga.

It is a public meeting with a scheduled time for public comments and suggestions.

The leaders of the council will talk about common goals.

On the agenda:

  • A discussion of the implementation and development of a sustainable communities strategy, as overseen regionally by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Association of Bay Area Governments.
  • Road repair strategies in Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda.
  • Community development and downtown revitalization updates from the three municipalities.
