How 'Bout This Weather, Lamorinda?

Patch is keeping a weather eye trained westward as the prospect of imminent rainfall continues to keep summer at bay.

We've heard of locals - committed grillers they - who are threatening to bring their rain-rusted Webers into the house for a little indoor B-B-Q if this rain doesn't let up anytime soon.

Well, the National Weather Service says those leaden skies some of us like so much will be sticking around through the weekend, officially delaying the start of summer festivities and maybe extending the ski season for dedicated plankers and boarders who could give a rip about barbecues and cruising around with the top down.

Patch coastwatchers report unsettled weather off our shoreline and the NWS is forecasting rain for Friday and Saturday, perhaps into Sunday.

For now, keep the cover on the barbeque and the sou'wester handy, it appears we've still got some rain to slog through before summer arrives.
