How to Create Sparkling Holiday Eyes!

Enhance your eye color for the holidays!

Another weekend, another holiday party!  Here’s some help to make you feel glamorous this weekend.  Choose your eye color from the list below and
follow the steps, your eyes will sparkle!  And if you’re short on time or a little makeup shy you can skip step 2.

Blue Eyes – What’s the opposite of blue?  Brown.  Eye shadows in brown or taupe hues enhance blue eyes and make them appear more blue and vibrant.

Green Eyes – Purple, Amethyst, plum.  All of these colors will enhance green eyes
beautifully.

Brown Eyes – I know it sounds a little scary, but blue eye shadow is where it’s at for brown eyes.  There are a multitude of blues that aren’t overwhelming, and mineral eye color can be layered to go on shear or bold, you choose.  And you can use a taupe or light brown for step 1 and use blue for step 2 and/or for the liner.

Hazel Eyes – Depending upon what your dominant color is, some people have blue with brown specks and some have light brown with darker brown specks or green with gold and brown specks.  Go with your dominant color and choose one of the above color schemes to enhance them.

Step 1 Apply Medium Shade Eye Color all over eyelid.

Step 2 – For Drama (optional) - Create a   "V" shape on corner of eye with the darkest color to open up a small eyelid.

Step 3 - Apply a light taupe or   cream colored shade along the brow bone
to open up the eyes and make them appear larger.

Step 4 - Line the lash line with eyeliner.  Use small dashes and then connect the dots.  To “set” the liner - use the darkest shade and a tapered angle brush to swipe on top of the eyeliner.

If you’re really   daring, try your hand at liquid eyeliner for a bold look.  A ¼ inch  “wing” pointing towards the outside of your brow for a retro cat-eye will make you stand out.  Don’t forget to use a fluffy brush to swipe away any fallen particles underneath your eyes.

Step 5 - Two coats of mascara to seal the deal.  Voila!  Gorgeous Eyes!
