Work part time at TOT DROP w your toddler at your side.

TOT DROP IS HIRING 1-2 DAYS/wk in Lafayette. Teachers may bring ONE of their own children with them to work with them for FREE.  TOT DROP is a preschool (M-F, 9am -1pm), for children 1-5 years, which operates by appointment (please go to: http://www.totdrop.com to learn about us BEFORE applying).

We are looking for candidates who are up beat, enthusiastic, positive, playful, joyful, outgoing, creative, easy going, friendly, talkative, and kids at heart, and who have a good work ethic.  Staff is almost completely made up of mommies!

We work with children (and parents) as they work through separation and into independence. So, a strong sense of empathy and a gentle nurturing manner are a must.

Each day parents choose to have their child attend. Because of this applicants must be comfortable chit-chatting with the parents and building strong friendly relationships to help the business to thrive. 

Interview is one hour long during which you are asked to JUMP RIGHT IN and play with the kids. We’re looking for a person who sits on the floor and plays, notices the child who needs comfort and gives it, notices 2 kids in conflict and helps them to resolution (with teaching not scolding), observes what the teachers are doing and helps, AND talks, talks, talks to the kids! If you will be bring your own toddler with you on the days you work, they should come to the interview, so that we can see whether TOT DROP is a good fit for them and whether they are comfortable sharing you.

No ECE required. TB clearance and CPR certification required. We will fingerprint and background check. Experience working with kids a must!
