Poll: Your Favorite Alameda Sandwich Spot

Where do you like to go?

I am not a particularly experienced sandwich-eater (we all have flaws), so I turned to all y'all on Facebook for suggestions for this poll. Turns out there are many highly regarded sandwich shops out there.

While at first I intended to include only four or five, it seems that, given the wealth of choices we have here on the Island, that would be wrong.

So where do you like to go for sandwiches, Alameda?

Vote for your favorite in the poll below. You can also click on the links to the businesses on the list and rate them in Patch Places, our business directory. You can also write reviews. (And, if I've somehow managed to leave out your favorite place, feel free to launch a write-in campaign in the comments.) Please vote only once.

Your suggestions for favorite sandwich place (in reverse alphabetical order):

, Subway (, , , ),  , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

NOTE: Because this poll is not scientific, the vote count is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places.

I do recognize that choosing one favorite sandwich shop may be asking too much, so feel free to cast another "vote" in the comments.

The poll closes 9 a.m. Friday.

I have to say that my absolute favorite sandwich place is Santoro's. Not only is everything fresh, but you won't find nicer and friendlier owners than Mike and Heidi. You feel like family after your first sandwich! They can do vegetarian also. That's the only place I go now for fresh, yummy and hearty sandwiches!

Hello, I'd love to hear more about this proposed sale of Harbor Bay Landing. Any links to news, please post? It is sadly run down and has so much potential!

I was so enamored by the creative flavors of "The Naturalist" panini at Little House Cafe, I can't help but recommend it to vegetarians as well as anyone else.. If I remember correctly, it features sautéed sweet potato, kale, curry, etc. It sounded different, so I thought I'd try it, and I'm really glad I did!
