New Lamorinda Service: Weekly Menus in Your Inbox, Groceries To Your Door

It started, as many ideas do, with a conversation between two friends.

New parents Un Kwan and Karen Eddy were commiserating about the difficulty of juggling full-time jobs and young children. A major point of stress and contention: what to have for dinner.

So Kwan, who worked in the financial industry, discussed a partnership with Eddy, a culinary school graduate and a personal chef to families. Eddy would prepare weekly meal plans, email those to clients who could then have those ingredients delivered to their door.

And thus was born Chop Chop Go.

The service, now available only in the Lamorinda area, is aimed at making busy lives a little less busy. According to the website, every recipe can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. And in addition to having the ingredients delivered, customers can also order other food and household items as needed.

During the pilot program, delivery is free. The company does all its shopping at Whole Foods.

While such a service is probably not inexpensive, especially if the groceries come from Whole Foods, it might well be worth the time and stress you save.
