More Pizza for Lafayette - Yay!

Dare we say that a pizza war of sorts is shaping up in Lafayette as yet another entry for the Friday Night pizza dollar is coming to town.

Watchers of commercial business space in downtown Lafayette have noted some harsh words and desertions from the Clocktower Building in recent months. Some business owners have muttered about escalating rents and an inhospitable business environment and left for greener pastures.

It was with a sigh of relief that town leaders have noted the imminent arrival of Patxi's (say Pah-Cheese) Pizza in the building. With some established pizza tossers already in town it should be interesting to see if the new business, with successful restaurants in San Francisco and Palo Alto - can carve out their share of the Friday Night pizza experience in Lafayette.

The business enjoys a Michelin rating and has had favorable reviews on the foggy side of the bay. The Lafayette location is one of two new shops they are opening. Patxi's prides itself on its menus and adherence to customer service.  Patrons can have their deep dish-style pies made in advance and ready for them as they are seated, half-cooked so they can finish them off at home and at their convenience, or delivered.
