Lamorindans At Large: Breakfast In Santa Fe

We've noticed that our regular readers may be on that last holiday before school starts, and we're hearing from folks traveling in far-off locales. Here's a culinary postcard from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

It seems half of Lamorinda is off on holiday somewhere.  We're hearing from the usual vacation spots, as well as from readers in more exotic locales.

If you're out there and have a shot of the family climbing the pyramids or motoring down the Rhine, let us know.  In the meantime, this little culinary gem was sent in by C.G. Ussher of Moraga during a recent trip through the Southwest and at least one breakfast at Harry's Roadhouse in Santa Fe.

C.G. says there was a lot of great food in Santa Fe, and little "dive" joints turning out Michelin-rated cuisine. She went to Harry's with friends and ordered the "Huevos Divorciados," or "Divorced Eggs," a Mexican breakfast built on two fried eggs separated (get it?) by a small mountain of chilaquiles. One egg is covered in salsa roja, the other in salsa verde, giving them each a flavor of their own - and warding off the after-effects of too many margaritas the night before, C.G. says.
