Starbucks says it is fomenting a coffee-brewing revolution.

It's called the Clover. Starbucks promises the machine is a rare innovation. The cups of coffee it produces are priced accordingly. Here's a review of the Clover cup by Walnut Creek Patch editor Jim Caroompas.

According to the company's website, the Clover uses vacuum technology and precise temperature control to squeeze the savoriest flavor from the beans. The Starbucks at 1 Camino Sobrante, Orinda, has the Clover machine, according to a Starbucks map.
