The Moraga Farmers’ Market Comparative
Heirloom and Garden Tomato Tasting Event will take place Sunday, August 19th
from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

 

Tomato lovers will have fun
finding their favorite varieties at the farmers' market comparative heirloom
and garden tomato tasting this Sunday in Moraga. Try Cherokee Purple, Sweet
100, Sungold, Big Beefsteak, Brandywine, Green Grape and more vine-ripened and
picked fresh from local farmers' fields. Sauces, salsas, preserves, canning,
and salads will benefit from this summer bounty of tomatoes.

This
summer’s harvest at the farmers’ market features delicious heirloom variety
tomatoes, apples, sweet grapes, melons, peaches, nectarines, pluots,
fresh-pressed apple and orange juice, crisp salad mix, farm fresh eggs,  carrots, fresh-cut flowers and more direct
from California growers and producers.
