Business Savvy Teen Will Fix Your "Kracked" iPhone Screen

13-year old teen starts an iphone repair service

Most of us have had that moment when our iPhone comes flying out of our hand, falls onto the hard pavement, screen cracked—this can only be followed by a gasp of horror as you ponder the cost to fix such a repair.

Lafayette teen Stanley Kvitko knows all about the woes of a cracked iPhone screen. One day last summer his screen broke and like anyone wanting to find the cheapest way to fix it, he did just that.

"After some research, I purchased the proper parts and tools that I needed. I followed step-by-step video instructions that I found on YouTube to take apart my phone, replace the screen, and reassemble it.

The next day, my friend noticed that my screen had been fixed, so she asked me to replace hers as well," said Kvitko.

This began a chain of events that inspired Kvitko to start his own business of fixing cracked iPhone screens—he began looking for a high quality iPhone repair parts supplier in both the United States and China.

Soon the business was called Kracked Screens. He spent a bit more money for high-quality parts to ensure his customer's happiness, created some business cards, and developed some advertisements.

Kvitko performs all of the repairs on his own, and contacts all of his customers while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in school.

Although about 6 hours of Kvitko's day is spent in school, he uses his breaks, lunches, and any freetime to grow his business.

Kracked Screens offers a mobile service where Kvitko will come to the customer's location and perform an on-spot repair according to what iphone they own.

When customers contact him for a repair, sometimes the reaction isn't always what he expects but it seems to take a turn for the better at the end of the repair appointment.

"They seem hesitant to trust me with their phones and they look nervous when I am performing the repair. I always engage the customer into an honest conversation and by the time I have completed repairing the customer's phone, I have made a friend.

The customers always change their mind from being nervous to gaining trust and happiness," explains Kvitko.

Kvitko knows how important it is to compete in his line of business and makes sure to set himself and his work a part from other services.

Some key services Kracked Screens offers are high quality parts, not basing prices on profit margin rather charging for high quality parts, time, and labor, and if you have a phone that needs water repair within 24 hours, they will offer you to use one of theirs in the meantime.

This young entrepreneur doesn't just have a vision for where he wants his business to go—he wants other young people like himself to follow their visions.

"If you believe in something, and you are passionate for anything, like a sport, a talent, or business idea, you should follow your dreams and do what you can do to make them come true.

Trust me and believe what I say, because as you know," Kvitko adds, "I am 13 and can relate to what struggles you face at my age."
