Double-Studio Businesses Share Lafayette Space

Fitness studio and photographic studio call Golden Gate Way home.

Call it studio synergy in downtown Lafayette.

A fitness studio and a photographic studio opened earlier this autumn in shared space at 3538-A Golden Gate Way, across from the Park Theater.

Anna Dornier and Gurpreet Kaur, both immigrants to the U.S., met at a business empowerment networking event in the East Bay and hit it off. Then they went looking for shared working space.

Now they share the space — Kaur Photography and The Club Fitness. "Her business is hers," said Kaur. "My business is mine. It just works."

“I am excited to bring my team to Lafayette where the need for fine quality, artistic photography and related products is in high demand," said Kaur, owner of Kaur Photography and a native of Canada. “By partnering with The Club Fitness, we are able to provide a one-stop shop for helping our clients look nothing but their very best."

Kaur said she is working on a photo book on an anti-bullying theme to show children in their innocence and vibrancy.

“Most fitness programs do not typically include nutrition planning with their membership,” says Anna Dornier, owner of The Club Fitness. “We recognize the importance that good nutrition plays in an individual’s health and outcome."
