Boo Koo For You In Lafayette?

Owners of the Mill Valley restaurant have dipped a toe in Lafayette's business waters.

Family members on the Marin side of the bay have told us about Boo Koo, a tiny little restaurant dishing up big plates of Asian "street food."

The little restaurant has a big following and we're told by a highly placed, ultra-secret source named Jay Lifson that Boo Koo is thinking of bringing its model to Lafayette, with an eye on the Fiesta Lane property at 50-60 Lafayette Circle, across from Chow.

It appears they have plans for a new building at that location, if they get the go ahead from city planners and have their plans approved. The city is currently weighing their proposal.

According to the picture, I believe it's "Boo Koo", not "Boo Coo".

I don't know what "Asian Street Food" is (and being asian I suppose I should) but I like the idea of another smallish restaurant.

The cuisine you would get touring the local markets in various Asian cities. To me it means pho, satay, fish balls, som tam.... that sort of thing. There's a trendy new industry cropping up around it. It would go over well in Mill Valley or here.
