Patcher Captures Dramatic Fire Photos

Reader Danny Milks heard the sirens and grabbed his camera at 4 a.m. after fire broke out at an apartment complex near downtown Walnut Creek.

Fire gutted an apartment this morning on Lincoln Avenue near downtown Walnut Creek and Patcher Danny Milks captured a dramatic image of firefighters putting water on the blaze.

Milks said the blaze started about 4 a.m. and took an hour for firefighters to extinguish.

Our thanks to Danny and our small "army" of Patchers who regularly provide us with information and photos of breaking news events.
