Patch received three complaints on Tuesday alone, all of which were of similar theme to this one: "Wanted to let you know that the Prime Selection meat (scam) wagon just made the rounds of my south Orinda neighborhood. None of my neighbors were buyers, luckily."

Thanks, Eileen.

Consumer Protection agencies have received dozens of complaints about Prime Selection, which travels from area to area peddling cuts of meat and chicken -- and which has some pretty aggressive sales tactics for those who don't like to be bothered at home.

"They came around dinnertime even though our home is marked with 'no solicitors' signs and they were very aggressive, banging on our door and yelling," wrote Eric. "We could see the truck and decided not to open our door to them."

Probably the best thing, guys. The company has been the subject of consumer protection investigations into their sales practices as well as for the cut and quality of their product line.
