“BEADFORLIFE” JEWELRY SALE HELPS WOMEN LEAVE POVERTY BEHIND, ONE BEAD AT A TIME
The Women Helping Women organization of Orinda Community Church will sponsor a Handmade Beaded Jewelry Sale on Sunday, November 27 from 11am-12:30pm at the Fellowship Hall, 10 Irwin Way, Orinda
The event is an exciting opportunity to support impoverished Ugandan women who are lifting their families out of poverty with their handmade, high-quality beaded jewelry. The event will also feature a Workshop on Empowerment of Girls Through Education. A portion of the proceeds from the Bead Sale will be designated for the BeadforLife Girls’ education program.

BeadforLife is a socially responsible global organization, working with women, all of whom were living on less than $1 a day in extreme poverty. They have partnered with industrious women in Uganda who make vivid beaded jewelry from recycled paper.
All net profits from BeadforLife sales are invested in projects that fight extreme poverty, primarily in three key areas: health, affordable housing, and vocational training for impoverished youth, and entrepreneurial development through micro credit for small businesses.
