So your beloved Patch editor is taking a much-needed break and enjoying a cup of coffee with a dedicated Patcher at SiSi Caffe Friday when, snap, crackle and pop we look up in time to see a 15-inch diameter tree limb come tumbling down -- landing just a few feet away from a young lady in an SUV.
All able-bodies ran to check on the motorist (thanks, guys) and police were summoned as the leaves were still raining down.
Nerves were frayed but all ended well. The tree limb would have done some damage, that's for sure, and appeared sodden and rotted out. As if you didn't have enough to worry about these days, now the trees are out to get us.
