Yarn Bomber Strikes In Orinda — Bike Racks Wrapped In Explosion of Color

Some people have to spray their tag on anything that will hold paint, some etch their moniker into a merchant's window. And then there's the new breed of guerilla artist — the yarn bomber.

Some street artists are really just masquerading vandals, trying to pass off spraypainted scrawls and other malicious damage as "art." And then there are those who look for appropriate places to leave their mark — and leave it wrapped in color.

One of them calls herself "Streetcolor." She contacted Lamorinda Patch to report that she'd  yarnbombed the Orinda Library early on Sunday; some of you may have seen her work. Read more about it in her blog.
