Solo Bass Guitarist Michael Manring Comes to Lafayette Saturday
A rare concert of solo bass guitar comes to an intimate Lafayette venue.
Michael Manring has been hailed as the heir apparent to the late bass legend Jaco Pastorius. Such rare praise is apparently well earned, as Manring has garnered accolades from critics internationally.
Manring will bring his skills to a concert in Lafayette Saturday at Mighty Fine Guitars, 85 Lafayette Circle.
According to his website, Manring has been hailed as one of the world's foremost masters of the bass guitar, having played with musicians from varied genres from post-metal rockers to folk singers and instrumentalists.
Manring will perform works from his latest CD, Soliloquy, as well as other works. Suggested donation is $20.
