Moragan Triumphs -- Again -- At California State Fair

The secret kitchens of Moraga's Les Trois Bisous have been quietly churning out a whole new line of foodstuffs -- and don't think the judges at the California State Fair haven't noticed.

Patch's personal supply of baked goods happens to come from the kitchens of a local woman who continues to dazzle judges and foodies with her sweet treats.

won Best in Show for her Blackberry BBQ sauce, (plus Best in Class for her Strawberry-Blueberry Jam) at the California State Fair over the weekend and we can personally vouch for that jam. (Patch note to Joan: We need more, please).

Joan's daughter and heir to the Moraga baking throne Ashleigh Edelsohn also won Best in Division for her Strawberry Jam plus a bunch of other First Place finishes for other entries.

Joan and Ashleigh are busy turning out Tarts, Pies, Cakes for next week's judging and we are begging, begging you, Joan -- for some of those creme de menthe marshmallow treats you made for us on a whim a while back. Wife seriously addicted.

A passion for something I can believe in! Yum! and congratulations! On second thought, congratulations is superfluous. Yum is its own reward.

Do they sell their jams locally?
Ashleigh Edelsohn July 23, 2012 at 11:29 PM
Hello Eileen. *Ashleigh here* Yes, we do sell our jams locally, but we do not have a storefront. Feel free to email me (ashleigh.edelsohn@gmail.com) for a list of flavors and prices. You can also check out my mom's website, but I don't think she has the most current flavors posted.

There you go. Nice to hear from Ashleigh. Just remember, we found them first. Their apple pie is a work of art. Au revoir...

I would give just about anything to be able to bake like that.
