Moraga Jazz Festival Coming In August

Moraga is planning its first ever “Moraga Jazz Festival,” set for Sunday, August 7, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The New Rheem Theatre.

Town Manager Jill Keimach reports that local flutist Carol Alban, in partnership with The New Rheem Theatre, has already lined up a star-studded roster of musicians, including: jazz legend Roger Glenn (who played with Dizzy Gillespie, Cal Tjader, and Mongo Santamaria) Mark Levine on bass (who toured with Barry Manilow), keyboardist Victoria Theodore (who played with Stevie Wonder), and Frank Martin who performed with Sting, Andrea Bocelli, and Al Jarreau.
