Winter Concert with Flutist Carol Alban and Friends

The Friends of the Moraga Library present flutist Carol Alban who will perform classical, jazz, and holiday favorites with Dylan Snodgrass, Marc Levine, and George Cole.

Carol Alban (flute/vocals) is principal flutist with the Bay Area Chamber Symphony and is a featured performer at the upcoming 2010 San Francisco International Flute Festival. She also featured at the 2008 World Flute Fest at Carnegie Hall. She has performed at Lincoln Center, the Blue Note, CBGB's, Freight and Salvage, Yoshi's, and the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Carol recently released a solo flute CD and teaches privately in Moraga.

Marc Levine (upright and electric bassist) has played with Burt Bacharach, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, Dionne Warwick, Olivia Newton-John, Melissa Manchester, Kid Creole, Dianne Schuur, K.T. Oslin, Rosemary Clooney and many others. Marc currently plays with the popular cover band, the Fundamentals. George Cole is lead vocalist for the George Cole Quintet. He's toured with Joe Walsh of the Eagles, performed with Warren Zevon, recorded with Chris Isaak, and was named by a California Music Award the best new major label artist. Dylan Snodgrass (pianist, composer) serves as Music Director at All Saints Episcopal Church in San Leandro. He has performed at the Berkeley Piano Club, Chapel of the Chimes, and Freight and Salvage. He lives in Hayward and teaches piano throughout the East Bay.
