The Moraga Library hosts Lamorinda Reads! "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese

  • Join your neighbors and friends for this year's community reading program, Lamorinda Reads! 2010. 

This year, Lamorinda Reads! Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese, a book the San Francisco Chronicle called "A masterpiece of traditional storytelling."  Cutting for Stone is the tale of twin brothers born to a priest and a nun and orphaned at birth.  Cutting for Stone spans decades and continents, moving through history and hospitals in Ethiopia, India, and America. 

Books will be available to check out at the Lafayette Library & Learning Center, Moraga Library, and the Orinda Library beginning September 7th and events will be held in October ~ Ethiopian Cooking, Indian Dance,  Book Discussion Group, and An Evening with the Author, Abraham Verghese.
