The 13th Annual Moraga Pear & Wine Festival will be held September 24, 2011 at the Moraga Commons from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join friends and neighbors as we celebrate our Town's pear history.
Schedule of Events
All Day: Food, wine, beer, artist vendors, informational booths, ARF, flu shots, pear pies and kids jumpies
10:30am: Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony (Back 40, next to pedestrian bridge)
11:00am: Town Hall Theatre Teen performance of GLEE (bandshell stage)
11:30am: Deadline to submit your pear recipe for the contest (Recipe Booth)
12:00noon: Grape Stomping (group picnic area)
12:00noon: – 2:00pm Police Auction (329 Rheem Blvd)
1:00pm: Monica Chappelle: wine and food pairing pre-purchase tickets (Sand Volleyball)
1:30-4:00pm: Rock and Roll Entertainment by Stone Soup (Bandshell Stage)
2:00pm: Monica Chappelle, wine and food pairing (ticket required) (Sand Volleyball)
2:00pm: Home Composting (Solid Waste Authority booth)
2:30pm: Grape Stomping (group picnic area)
Concert Intermission: Pear Pie Eating Contest (bandshell stage)

Do you have a favorite pear recipe? Enter the Pear Recipe contest and see if your recipe is the best! Prizes will be awarded for the winners in the categories of Dessert, Appetizer and Other. Application and Details
All entries must be received by 11:30am. at the recipe tent near the Commons Bandshell. All recipes will be judged on Saturday, September 24th at 12:00 at the Moraga Commons Park
