Diablo Ballet & Lafayette Library "Dance on Film" Series

Dance!Diablo Ballet & Lafayette Library Foundation present the 2012 Dance on Film series at the Lafayette Library with a screening of the 1948 dance classic "The Red Shoes" on Wednesday July 18th 6:30 PM.  For information, click here or call 925-283-6513.The series kicks off with the legendary 1948 ballet story of “The Red Shoes.” This breathtaking film captures the story of a young ballerina who is torn between the man she loves and her pursuit to become a prima ballerina. Considered a film classic, “The Red Shoes” was nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award.Before the screening, join Lauren Jonas, Diablo Ballet Artistic Director, as she shares some fascinating information about the making of the film.  Guests are also welcome to enter a free drawing to win tickets to a future Diablo Ballet performance.Admission is $5 for all ages. The Dance on Filmseries takes place in the Arts & Science Discovery Center at the Lafayette Library – 3491 Mt.
