Where is this playground train?
It's a pleasant, blue train in a playground tucked away in the Lamorinda area.

The train replica is fun for kids, but it also tells the story of some days gone by in this neck of the woods.

Moraga Commons Park. The train has been repainted a different color since my kids played on it when they were little.

Hi, Gint... the train is in a park... but that's not the right one...

No wonder the color is different. This one should be behind the Lafayette Community Center 500 St. Mary's Rd

Hi, Gint... another good guess... but I'm afraid it's not there either. The train is a tribute to a train stop that used to be in the Lamorinda area... if that helps.

And Marco... you are correct! Nice work! It's a neat little display in that park in the southwest corner of Moraga. Has a little history on when the trains used to roll through Moraga Valley.

Rancho Laguna...along with the ghost of a famous Basset Hound, Elvis. A beloved, beautiful sanctuary.
