Week In Review: Happy New Year

Did you miss some of the stories from Lamorinda Patch earlier in the week?

Patch performed a public service by informing everyone what "Auld Lang Syne" means. And if you wanted your toddler to look good at the New Year's party, you could have dressed him up in Good Boy Friday threads. We profiled the online designer and "mama-preneur" Kellee Bachour.

On Tuesday, there was a New Year's Day snafu with water gushing from a manhole on Stuart Street in Lafayette. EBMUD was there to effect the repair.

On Wednesday, Patch covered the announcement that a meeting to discuss plans to close a fire station on Los Arabis Drive had been shifted to Jan. 15.

On Thursday, we featured Diablo magazine's which trumpets the culture, shops and restaurants of Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga.

On Friday, we examined a stretch of Canyon Road where the water trickles off  a slope, car tires spread it on the road surface and freezing temperatures turn it into black ice. There were insights from an email Patch received from a motorist who spun off the road there.
