Teen Song-'n'-Dance Sensation Headlines Lamorinda Rotary Breakfast

Gabriel Angelo MasterBlaster G, who appeared on "The Ellen Show" at age 12, will entertain at the Lafayette breakfast meeting on July 18.

Announcement from the Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary Club:

Gabriel Angelo MasterBlaster G, a 15-year-old entertainer, who is an actor, model, MC, singer, trumpeteer and tap dancer seeking to bring healing to the world through the arts, will be at Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary Club Breakfast Meeting on July 18 in Lafayette.

His musical career began with drum lessons at Shiloh Conservatory founded by Pastor Marion Overall, in Oakland. He went on to begin piano lessons with Wendell Dotson, at 6 years old, but on the first day came back to his mother with a trumpet, having fallen in love with it as he explains.

His passion to perform for others was greatly encouraged by playing for adult choir rehearsal, also run by Pastor Marion Overall and her husband, Roy Overall.

Pastor Roy Overall, himself a successful senior entrepreneur in his 70s, encouraged Gabriel in entrepreneurship.

Always having the desire to perform for an audience with more frequency than his recitals, Gabriel, who lives in Bekeley, found a niche in San Francisco's welcoming arts culture and ultimately developed his public career there, starting with his first public outdoor performance the day before his 10th birthday.

The San Francisco community, as well as a national and international one, have provided a great deal of encouragement for his continued development. While the old standards, like Moonriver have been his focus, he enjoys performing modern hits as well.

A painful breakup gave him the inspiration to sing, serving as his personal therapy. With vocals added to his repertoire, Gabriel has found a new level of passion in his career, striving to encourage others in the pursuit of true love, in every area of life.

He finds his greatest passion in seeing people, educated and rehabilitated,
mentally and physically. Spending time with his family, including his
girlfriend, Shania, is his greatest priority.

He is currently working on his own album to be released by the end of this year, as well as a feature film set in the 1920s that deals with the painful effects of gangster control.

Gabriel has performed for a number of audiences throughout California, and appeared on The Ellen Show in 2012. See video here.

Join us and be entertained on Friday, July 18,  at 7 a.m. at the Lafayette Park Hotel, 3287 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette. Nominal fee of $20 is requested and includes breakfast.
