These oak leaves, in the shade along the Lafayette-Moraga regional trail near Reliez Station Road in Lafayette, were still holding an edge of frost at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
It should be warmer in the coming nights. The forecast calls for a low of 45 degrees Thursday and 46 degrees Friday in Lamorinda, with some rain coming to soak the leaves on the weekend.
