Someone Forget To Pay the PG&E Bill?

And... we're back. Lightning strikes almost touch off another "Heidi Bowl" and Patch is out buying generators for next time.

The Gaels were just clawing their way back from a six point deficit when a Heavenly Message was delivered in booming fashion, a lightning bolt turning the TV into a big paperweight and sending us back to the Dark Ages.

The kids immediately found ways to power up their gadgets and Patch relied on battery power to post what we knew about the outage to anyone with power enough to receive it.

By now you know that dozens of homes in Moraga (including ours) were without power and that Saint Mary's College went dark as hundreds of students there wondered about heavenly messages (God IS a Gael, after all) when their TV went dark. An exodus resulted as students spilled out into those cities lucky enough to have power -- and beer -- but were ultimately forced to watch their team lose a tough one to Purdue.

The Gaels are expected to return to the campus between 4:45 and 5 p.m. Saturday and the campus community is preparing to turn out to welcome them home.
