"Mule Man" Gets Around

Testament, perhaps, to the stamina of our wayfaring stranger and the long reach of Patch, we hear today from a nice lady in Chandler, Arizona, inquiring if the is the same man she photographed passing through Chandler in May.

"My friend from Los Altos, CA posted on her Facebook about seeing this guy in Los Altos this weekend and I remembered seeing the same thing in Chandler, Arizona in May," wrote Veronica Brown of Chandler. "I took a few photos with my cell phone. I wonder if it could be the same guy and what this is all about? An ad perhaps? She thought he was a time traveller!"

If you missed our story a sturdy but silent stranger appeared in Moraga and exited through Orinda a few weeks back, sending the locals scrambling for their cameras but netting surprisingly few good photos. Patcher "Ed" has perhaps the best shot of the "Mountain Man" ( Veronica has branded him the "Mule Man.")

Whatever you call him the man has our interest, head down and apparently with a travel plan... his animals obviously well tacked and well packed and cared for.

So far, he remains a mystery, perhaps a nomadic version of Forrest Gump, traversing the country with his animals in search of some inner truth.
