Moraga Ranks No. 5 'Safest' Town in California!

With a reported total of just 963 crimes per 100,000 in 2012, the Town of Moraga ranks in fifth place for the "10 Safest Places In California," according to Movoto Real Estate.

But overall, the researchers looked at the most recent FBI crime statistics from 365 locations with populations over 10,000, and Moraga came in low in these categories: 

  • Murders
  • Violent crimes
  • Property crimes
  • Total crimes.
On the top 10 list, there are actually  five towns or cities from the Bay area, with Hillsborough in first place and Danville at No. 10.
