Judges Wowed by Lafayette's Writing and Photo Contest Entries

Eight finalists were named in first youth contest.

Eight finalists were chosen this week for the Lafayette Youth Writing and Photography Contest.  And in the contest's first year, organizers and judges, alike, were stunned by the high quality of the entries.

Finalists are: 

  • Noam Franbuch; 
  • Clare Needs; 
  • Kate Gilberd; 
  • Elie Singer; 
  • Sophia Benveniste; 
  • Isabel Rurka; 
  • Cameron Fisher; 
  • Clare Fonstein.
Organizers said it was an encouraging start to what will, hopefully, become an annual Lafayette tradition.
