Looking for some special vegetables and herbs to plant in your garden this year? Look no further. Moraga Gardens Farm will be sponsoring their annual nursery plant sale starting March 24th, and running each weekend, until April 15th, 9am -1pm. Over 2500 plant starts, seeded locally, without the use of chemicals/ pesticides, will be offered. Plants include many hard to find, heirloom varieties: 17 types of tomatoes, 4 kinds of eggplant and 5 pepper varieties, chayote, artichoke, savory herbs, and chamomile. Cost of 4 inch potted plants its $2.00. Proceeds will help pay for the operating expenses of running the community farm. Moraga Gardens Farm grows a variety of vegetables and fruits, which are shared by the volunteer members, local markets, and charitable organizations that feed the hungry.
