Disappearing Waterfall Reappears

This waterfall along the regional trail on the Moraga-Lafayette border comes and goes with the rainfall.

We've had buckets of rain in the last 10 days.

Maybe you've noticed.

When there have been buckets, this disappearing waterfall reappears. It's on the Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail a quarter-mile north of where the trail crosses Rheem Boulevard at the intersection of St. Mary's Road.

It will disappear again if the winter takes a turn for the dry, say no rain for 17 days straight. It will disappear for sure when the dry season takes hold in April or May.

I call it the Disappearing Waterfall. Anyone have a formal name for it?
