Orinda's Best Hometown Parade Approaches

The weather's warming up and once again it's time to bring out the red, white and blue!

This year, the Orinda July Fourth Parade Planning Committee asked local graphic artist Andrew Benzie, of Andrew Benzie Creative Design, to develop a bold new logo for the popular event.

Soon, Lamorindans will be able to spot this bright work of art all over town on banners and promotional posters in merchants' windows.

The parade, fun run (Haley's Run for a Reason) and park activities take place on a Friday, so event planners are keeping their fingers crossed folks will opt out of fighting Tahoe traffic and stay local for all of the festivities this year.

The event chairs have hit the fundraising trial hard this year.

Added funds will be dedicated to adding more music and improving sound systems to make the event even more celebratory!
