How does it work?
The Unity Council is a nonprofit whose mission is to help families and individuals build wealth and assets through comprehensive programs of sustainable economic, social and neighborhood development. The Unity Council partners with the IRS and United Way to bring this service to low to moderate income individuals and families. The Unity Council receives grant money based upon the number of tax returns filed.
