Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Celebrates Christmas in July!

Dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, posed the question:  Who said that Christmas comes but once a year?  Starting on Tuesday, July 22, when you venture in to this well-known landmark, you will discover a plethora of yuletide joy marked at prices of bygone days.

Hopefully, this event will run until Saturday, August 2-- IF the inventory lasts—no promises.  As the well-known and much beloved Rudolf advised, get a jump on your holiday decorating by selecting from a tremendous assortment of ornaments that include themed, vintage reproductions and mercury glass items.  Likewise, wreaths, wall hangings and lights in all sizes, some of them unopened, will promise to deck your halls--as in fa-la-la-la-la!

As for enhancing your table scape (sounds pricey, doesn’t it?), you will find plates and platters, festive napkins, placemats and glassware.  Decorative centerpieces and a variety of candleholders, miniature Santas, nutcrackers, as well as sleds and sleighs will provide those finishing touches that evoke time-treasured traditions.

Should you discover that you have items that no longer serve a purpose, the blue-smocked member volunteers will be happy to relieve you of them in exchange for a tax donation receipt.  It’ll be a win-win; you will help those in our community who are vulnerable while saving a chimney full of money.  To learn more about Assistance League’s philanthropic programs that the Way Side Inn Thrift Shop funds, please visit our website:  diablovalley.assistanceleague.org.
