On Tuesday, January 28, Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, will be bathed in various shades of reds and pinks in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Lavish your friends, S.O.’s, and loved ones with such mementos as picture frames, plush toys, pillows, candle holders, serving platters, as well as decorative pieces. You’ll also find pajamas, socks, tee shirts, and stuffed animals. Valentine’s Day items will virtually fly out the door as if on Cupid’s wings, so plan your shopping spree accordingly.
On Tuesday, February 4, the blue aproned dedicated member volunteers will harken back to earlier times with their “Pioneer Days and Western Round Up” event. You will unearth a mother lode of men’s, women’s, and children’s western boots, cowboy hats, belts, bandanas, and books. Children’s three-piece pioneer outfits comprising a dress, apron, and bonnet will be sold as sets or as individual pieces. Such home décor items as glassware, linens, and vintage Mariachi bowties will complete your retail adventure. Surely, your shopping bags and purses will bulge with treasured finds and money saved.

Speaking of purses, February 18 will launch the annual Classic Coach and Dooney & Bourke Handbags event. It will include Dooney & Bourke's all-weather leather bags, many of them discontinued, yet known for their durability and recognizable style. You will find this year’s selection of Coach hand bags, finely crafted during the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, will be better than ever. An assortment of briefcases, attaches, wallets, and other smaller items will also be available. You will breeze through February by enjoying authentic and high-end items, a tax receipt for your donations, and money left over for the March events at Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop.
