Dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, wish all of you a happy and fulfilling 2014. While time marches on, they hope to return you to a less complicated time, when renewing resources was not an innovation, it was a way of life.
On Tuesday, January 14, the annual Quilts Event will begin at 10:00 AM. About 50 quilts, many of them hand pieced and hand stitched, will provide a palette rich in color, texture, and symmetry that have transformed scraps of fabric into works of art. Speaking of which, you will also find such quilt related items as fabrics, quilt hoops, quilting books (many of them no longer in print), patterns, and an extensive collection of thimbles, all prized donations that are functional and decorative. This one stop shopping event will be frequented by the casual shopper, as well as novice and veteran quilters; consequently, the inventory will go quickly.
If you have any quilt related items that you no longer use (or any other items, for that matter), please drop them off at the thrift shop, which is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A tax donation receipt awaits you.
