The Saint Mary’s Gaels have signed coach Randy Bennett to a new 10-year contract with the school in a move that will ensure "Coach B's" stay in Moraga until 2021 - and guarantee the school's place as a leading contender in WCC competition in future seasons.
The Gaels have been among college basketball’s most consistent mid-major programs since Bennett took the helm of their hoops program in 2001 - winning nearly two-thirds of their games and journeying to NCAA tournament play twice in their last four seasons.
Bennett will see the return of seven key players from last year’s team this season, and the squad is seen in contention for an NCAA tournament bid once again this year.
