Haley was a happy and healthy 21 month old little girl. On May 15, 2000, she passed away unexpectedly in her sleep. Because she was over the age of 1, her death is not considered SIDS. Instead, she belongs to a lesser-known category called Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).

This is our tenth annual Haley's Run for a Reason event in memory of Haley. It's a 5-mile trail run or 2-mile walk that kicks-off Orinda's 4th of July festivities. This year's event is even more special because it takes place in the month Haley would have turned Sweet 16.

All proceeds will go toward funding crucial medical research so that no new families will have to endure the pain of losing a child so SUDC.
