Acalanes Girls Varsity Water Polo Girls takes 3rd place at Amanda McDonald Tournament in Menlo Park this weekend.
The Dons won their first game of the tournament against Woodside High School by 17 to 3.  Senior Ellyn Stewart lead the Dons with a total of 4 goals.  Whitney Hickok scored 3, Reilly Fellner - 3, Chase Lanier 1 goal plus a 5-meter, Emma Gaffney - 2, Hannah Kresnak - 2, Emma Myall - 1
The girls also had an incredible win against St. Ignatius High School - 11-1!  Coach Misha Buchel calling it the 'best game of the year so far'.   Chase Lanier lead with 3 goals including one 5-meter shot,  Ellyn Stewart scored 3, Emma Myall scored 2, Reilly Fellner - 1 and Hannah Kresnak - 1.  Whitney Hickok had 7 saves and Lucy Fellner 2 saves.
The girls took a loss against St. Francis in their third game with 1-9 finish, but re-bounded in their fourth and final game against Arch Bishopp Mitty with a 10-7 win.  Leading in goal scoring was Hannah Kresnak with 4, Ellyn Stewart scored 3 goals, and Reilly Fellner, Emma Myall and Brooke Asterlind each scored 1.
